We are back! After our critically-acclaimed 2019 Edinburgh Fringe sell-out show PopLab (one of the Top 10 best-reviewed shows at the festival - STOP IT) we are ready to reveal our latest project: PopCorn, a brand-new cinema-themed musical comedy extravaganza celebrating great films!
We couldn’t stay on enforced hiatus one moment longer. We had to find a way of putting on a new show, for our sanity as well as your entertainment. So thank the gods that we found ourselves an incredible team of people with actual experience of digital streaming to help us put this together. We’re gonna bring the big screen to you, wherever you are, in the most ambitious F&M show to date.
Part-movie, part-live show, part-parody, part-love letter to cinema – PopCorn is still available to stream.

poplab: the movie
Ten years since we burst on the scene with our wildly popular brand of musical infotainment, we officially became Pop PhDs, fully qualified to conduct scientific analyses of the molecular intersections between every pop song ever.
In 2019 we made a “genuinely inspiring” multi-five-star show full of LEGITIMATE SCIENCE, and took it around the world. Little did we know, however, that live events were about to be made illegal for a long time.
So if we can’t do our thing live, we can at least stream it for a pay-what-you-want donation!
And thanks in advance for your ongoing support of our titting about - we are truly counting down the days until we can get back on a stage and tit about in your face for real.
About F&M:
Who:
Felicity Fitz-Frisky and Hansel Amadeus Mannish are the creations of Laura Corcoran and Matthew Floyd Jones.
What:
We’ve been titting around with pop songs since 2008.
Where:
We’ve hoofed all over London, from Shepherd's Bush Empire to the West End's Lyric Theatre, via KOKO, The Forum, Soho Theatre, Battersea Arts Centre, Southbank Centre's Udderbelly Festival and the London Wonderground...
And all over the UK, too many times to count, including Glastonbury, Latitude, Bestival, T in the Park, and eight Edinburgh Fringes...
And all over the world, from Sydney (Opera House and Mardi Gras) to Melbourne (Comedy Festival), Adelaide (Cabaret and Fringe Festivals) to Perth (Fringe World), alongside visits to New York and New Zealand, Germany and Switzerland, Singapore and Hong Kong...
And all over radio (BBC Radio 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Live and 6 Music) and television (BBC2 and 3) and on YouTube and iTunes and Spotify…
And anywhere that will have us.

Why:
“Our style of comedy is way older than us. John Gay was doing it in The Beggar’s Opera in 1728 when he lampooned popular tunes of the day for a dribbling mass of unwashed peasants (to make no inference about our own lovely audiences...)
We’re not looking to reinvent the wheel here. We just try to make a really good wheel.”
The F&M Podcast
In Season 1 we drank dry martinis with an olive and discussed the hot socio-political topics of the day, then sang ridiculous songs that made fun, but also hopefully some kind of sense, of those topics.
In Season 2 we took inspiration from the great Calvin Harris and analyzed what was really acceptable in the ‘80s… and the ‘70s, and the ‘90s, and the naughties, etc. And then sang more ridiculous songs.
FULL SHOWS:
Frisky & Mannish’s School of Pop (2009)
Pop music is extremely dangerous. It's time for your education. F&M twist and shout you through fifty years of pop with death-defying lack of restraint.
Frisky & Mannish: The College Years (2010)
Every great high school show needs a kick-ass college sequel. F&M’s thesis on collision theory covers great pairings from Brandy & Monica to Freddie Mercury and What’s-her-face Operabitch.
Frisky & Mannish: Pop Centre Plus (2011)
Everyone wants a career in pop, and if The Saturdays can do it, then, by God, so can you. Everything you need is at F&M's Pop Centre Plus.
Frisky & Mannish: 27 Club (2012)
As rigorous analysts of pop, it's only natural that F&M should, eventually, look at this rather more macabre phenomenon. As Ke$ha might say, Tik Tok.
Frisky & Mannish: Just Too Much (2014)
Now all grown up (just like Miley and Bieber) F&M’s barely-conscious recoupling marks the beginning of a new pop-comedy-mashup-infotainment era.
